| This is a watercolour painting resulting from sketches made of Friesian horses some time ago. This is a wonderful breed - very dramatic but athletic and marvellous when in action. I felt their colouring was particularly suitable for a winter scene and I enjoyed incorporating the lengthy shadows of a sunny day over the snow. |
