Two horses and their exercise riders are depicted doing some ‘fast’ work on the gallops in Newmarket under the supervision of their trainer. An early summer’s morning, the mist is hanging heavily over the gallops and the sun casts a warm glow over the scene. The gallops are known as the Limekilns and are favoured by local trainers during the summer months. More gallops known as ‘Railway Land’ can just be seen through the mist. " |
