"I think Sue's Paintings are Brilliant and what
a way to show them off to the World!"

"Dancing Brave was European
Racehorse of the Year in 1986. He won the 2,000 Guineas in the Spring
and followed up by winning the Eclipse and the King George and Queen Elizabeth
Diamond Stakes in the Summer - both all age Group One races. His ability
to accelerate off any pace was truly breathtaking.
In this print Dancing Brave is shown winning the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe which I still consider to be one of the best horse races I have seen. He defeated such a high class field (including French Champion Bering who was previously thought to be unbeatable by his connections) and showed scintillating speed to pass his rivals and yet he was already beginning to pull up as he passed the winning post. It was certainly his finest performance which prompted the idea to produce this print which, in effect, gives a lasting record of his achievements which are listed at the bottom. The central picture is reproduced from an oil painting and the vignettes in the border are from watercolours. " |

The greetings card contains only the central picture - not the vignettes. |
